International scholar Lance Rhoades offers a look at China's culture, past and present as seen through his experiences working at universities in its two largest cities: Beijing and Shanghai.

China is also one of the most ancient, storied civilizations, with traditions that persist despite rapid modernization.

Registration is encouraged. Supported by Friends of the Arlington Library.
