Whether SF/Fantasy, Historical, or Contemporary, world-building is both an art and a learned skill. In this workshop you will get basic tools and methods to hone your skill-set. Please preregister.

Why bother to build a world when you write? Because it matters! Practice constructing a viable framework through not only surroundings, but character action. You will be challenged to ask questions, and bend reality -- without breaking it.

With an inveterate fascination in other worlds and times, instructor J. Tullos Hennig has managed a few professions in this world – equestrian, dancer, teacher, artist – but has never successfully managed to not be a writer. Ever.

Drawn to both speculative and historical fiction, Jen’s most recent work is a darkly magical, award-winning historical fantasy series re-imagining the legends of Robin Hood. A lifelong passion for medieval lit and ancient mythos is given due with the Books of the Wode.
