Chair Yoga

Improve your balance, strength, range-of-motion and well-being . Suitable for seniors, people working with an injury or folks carrying a little extra in the middle. Beginners are welcome. Register.

Yoga poses can be done while seated in a chair or the chair can be used while standing to help you feel supported and safe. A slower pace and many modification options allow you to build confidence and widen your comfort zone while moving mindfully.

Bring a bath towel that can be rolled up and used under your feet or hips to accommodate your leg length.

Instructor Sarah Birger has been teaching yoga on South Whidbey for 20 years. As a Certified Yoga Therapist, she has well over 1,000 hours of training in how to apply the tools of yoga to improve mental and physical health.
