For the past two years, Jodi Crimmins has served as the Garden and Sustainability Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) for Oak Harbor Public Schools on Whidbey Island, Wash.
A state Science Fellow, Crimmins provides training on environmental literacy and sustainability projects, school-wide composting systems and outdoor learning opportunities linked to the U.S. Department of Education National Green Ribbon Schools program. In 2019, the school district received the 2019 Green Medalist Award from Washington Green Schools.
