The workhop will begin with an overview of options for preparing the necessary business plan. The class will include a review of the best legal entity to choose for your business, Washington State licensing and tax regulations and insurance needs. Information on banking, accounting, and business operations will be covered. The program will include a discusion of the need for patents and copyrights to protect intellectual property.
Jack Stiegler has a degree in Accounting and an MBA in Market Research. In addition he has an Associate Degree in Information Technology and has the professional designation of Accredited Advisor in Insurance. He held senior management positions in Administration and Information Technology and was co-owner of a successful small business. He also taught Business Planning in the MBA program at a local university. Jack has worked as a volunteer for SCORE for 20 years and presently serves as the manger for Snohomish, Island and San Juan Counties.
